NEW WORK | David Annesley features four unseen sculptures by the octogenarian artist, who has recently returned to making work after a hiatus. Annesley's first solo exhibition was held at the Waddington Galleries over fifty years ago, in 1966. Annesley's new works, which develop works begun in the 1960s, achieve a sense of weightlessness through the apparent suspension of a centre ring within an outer ring of waver thin steel or aluminium, as if held in an energy field.
